Canyoning - Caldeirões São Miguel

This activity takes place in the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park, one of the most extraordinary places in the north-eastern part of the island of São Miguel (about 45 minutes by car from the city of Ponta Delgada).
The Canyoning Experience begins after reaching the top of the first waterfall, where you abseil down the first descent beside a 5 metre waterfall and have the chance to jump into its fresh water.
The trail continues down to a toboggan run and, for those who want to venture out, they will have the opportunity to jump from the highest point in the area, which is around 3 metres high.
Following the path of the stream, we find the next jump, about 2 metres high. Walking along the stream, we approach the second abseil of approximately 7 metres, which ends in a natural pool.
