Leaving Ponta Delgada, the first stop is Vila Franca do Campo, on the south coast of the island, where you can savour the famous Queija da Vila, a conventual recipe. Continuing the tour, arriving at Lagoa das Furnas, you can observe some volcanic phenomena known as fumaroles, as well as the method used to make the traditional "Cozido das Furnas". This is followed by a visit to Terra Nostra Park (optional), where you can experience a thermal bath and then the long-awaited lunch. Still in the centre of Furnas, we'll visit the boilers and fumaroles, as well as the various types of sour water springs. Heading towards Ponta Delgada along the north coast, we'll stop at the Pico do Ferro viewpoint, from where we'll have a view of the Furnas Lagoon and the town to which it belongs. Then, arriving in Ribeira Grande, you will visit the Gorreana tea plantation and factory, where you can taste the green or black tea produced there. The last stop will be at the Santa Iria viewpoint, where you can see a large part of the island's north coast.
