Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo Full Day Tour

The day begins with a visit to the traditional pineapple plantation, an organic crop grown in greenhouses, where you can also sample pineapple liqueur. The journey continues along the west coast of the island, with a stop at the Pico do Carvão viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful view over the north and south coasts of the island. Surrounded by greener vegetation, we'll find the Vista do Rei viewpoint, the Sete Cidades volcanic complex where you can contemplate the superb view over the blue lagoon and the green lagoon. As you descend into the crater, you'll be able to see another lagoon, the Santiago lagoon. In the centre of Sete Cidades, visit the Church of São Nicolau, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, the tour continues along the coast enjoying the green landscape, passing through Mosteiros until we reach the Capelas site, to stop and observe the north coast of the island.
Continuing along the north coast, we'll visit the historic centre of Ribeira Grande and also a regional liqueur shop. Heading towards Lagoa do Fogo, we'll visit the Caldeira Velha Natural Park (optional), a nature reserve where you can take a dip in the thermal waters coming from a waterfall. Climbing a little further, we arrive at Lagoa do Fogo where we'll find a breathtaking view.
Returning to Ponta Delgada via Pico da Barrosa, you get a fantastic view of the island.
