These general conditions comply with Decree-Law 17/2018 of 8 March.
This programme is the information document in which these general conditions, the corresponding standard information sheets and the specific conditions form an integral part and which constitute, in the absence of a separate document, the travel contract binding the parties and which will be provided to the Traveller at the time of booking.

8. BOOKING AND AMENDMENT FEES AND EXPENSES
8.1. Each booking service is subject to a service charge, in accordance with the information to be provided by the AGENCY during the process and before the booking request is finalised.
8.2 By making the booking, the Traveller accepts the fees mentioned therein.
8.3 In the case of flights, airport taxes are itemised and differentiated from the cost of the air ticket.
8.4 In some destinations, there are airport, entry, exit and local taxes, which must be paid locally, and which do not appear in the information returned by the Traveller's search on the AGENCY's website or at the time of direct and personal purchase by the Traveller at the physical agency.
8.5 In some countries/cities, a tourist tax is charged, which is usually not included in the price of the accommodation or package, and must be paid locally.
8.6 Booking costs: Costs will be charged for each booking in accordance with the information provided by the AGENCY at the time of booking.
8.7 Change fees: For each change (e.g. names, dates, type of flat or room, journey, etc.), fees will be charged in accordance with the information provided by the AGENCY at the time of booking. Acceptance of such changes depends on acceptance by the respective service providers.

9. DOCUMENTATION
9.1 The Traveller must have their personal or family documentation in good order (citizen's card, identity card, passport, military documentation, authorisation for minors, visas, vaccination certificates and any others that may be required). The AGENCY declines all responsibility for refusing to grant visas or not allowing the Traveller to enter a foreign country, and the Traveller is responsible for any and all costs arising from this situation.
9.2. Travelling in the European Union:

 9.4 Minors travelling together with their parents, or authorised by them with other adults, must be in possession of the relevant civil identification document (citizen's card, identity card, passport).

10. CHANGES REQUESTED BY THE TRAVELLER
10.1 If the service providers of the trip in question allow it, whenever a Traveller booked on a particular trip wishes to change their booking to another trip or to the same trip departing on a different date, or any other possible change, they must pay the aforementioned fee, as well as the change costs.
10.2 However, if the change takes place 21 days or less before the departure date of the trip for which the Traveller is booked, or if the service providers do not accept the change, the Traveller will be subject to the costs and charges provided for in the clause "Termination of the Contract by the Traveller".
10.3 Once the trip has begun, if a change to the contracted services is requested for reasons not attributable to the AGENCY (e.g. extension of the nights of stay, change of flight), the prices of the tourist services may not correspond to those published in the brochure that motivated the contract.

11. ASSIGNMENT OF REGISTRATION (CONTRACTUAL POSITION)
11.1 The Traveller may give up their position, being replaced by another person who fulfils all the conditions required for the package, provided that they inform the AGENCY in writing no later than 7 consecutive days before the scheduled departure date, and that such assignment is possible under the terms of the applicable air transport regulations. In the case of cruises and long-haul air travel, the deadline will be 15 consecutive days in advance.
11.2 The assignor and the assignee are jointly and severally liable for the payment of the outstanding balance and for the fees, charges or additional costs arising from the assignment, which will be duly informed and
proven by the travel and tourism agency.

12. CHANGES TO BE MADE BY THE AGENCY
12.1 Whenever, before the start of the package, (i) the AGENCY is obliged to significantly change any of the main characteristics of the travel services, (ii) or is unable to meet the special requirements requested by the Traveller; (iii) or proposes to increase the price of the package by more than 8%, the Traveller may, within 8 days:
a) Accept the proposed amendment;
b) Terminate the contract, without any penalty, and be reimbursed the sums paid;
c) Accept a replacement package offered by the AGENCY and be reimbursed in the event of a price difference.
12.2 Failure by the Traveller to respond within the time limit set by the AGENCY shall imply tacit acceptance of the proposed change.

13. CANCELLATION OF THE CONTRACT BY THE AGENCY
13.1 When the trip depends on a minimum number of participants, the AGENCY reserves the right to cancel the organised trip if the number of participants reached is less than the minimum. In such cases, the Traveller will be informed in writing of the cancellation within:
a) 20 days before the start of the package, in the case of trips lasting more than six days;
b) 7 days before the start of the package, in the case of trips lasting between two and six days;
c) 48 hours before the start of the package, in the case of trips lasting less than two days.
13.2 Before the start of the package, the AGENCY may also terminate the contract if it is prevented from executing the contract due to unavoidable and exceptional circumstances.
13.3 Termination of the travel contract by the AGENCY under the terms referred to above shall only entitle the Traveller to a full refund of payments made within a maximum period of 14 days following termination of the travel contract.

14. PRICE CHANGE
14.1 The prices in the programme are based on the costs of the services and exchange rates in force on the date of printing of this programme, and are therefore subject to changes (price increases or reductions) resulting from variations in the cost of transport or fuel, taxes, fees and exchange rate fluctuations up to 20 days before the date of travel.
14.2 If the increase in question exceeds 8% of the total price of the package, the "CHANGES TO BE MADE BY THE AGENCY" clause will apply.
14.3 In the event of a price reduction, the AGENCY reserves the right to deduct the corresponding administrative costs from the reimbursement to be made to the Traveller, which will be justified at the Traveller's request.

15. REFUNDS
Once the trip has begun, no reimbursement is due for services not used by the Traveller for reasons of force majeure or for reasons attributable to the Traveller, unless reimbursed by the respective service providers. Failure to provide the services provided for in the travel programme for reasons attributable to the organising AGENCY and if it is not possible to replace them with equivalent ones, entitles the Traveller to be reimbursed for the difference between the price of the services provided and those actually provided.

16. CANCELLATION OF THE CONTRACT BY THE TRAVELLER
16.1. The Traveller is free to withdraw at any time before the start of the journey.
16.2. Such cancellation implies that the Traveller is liable for the payment of all charges to which the commencement of performance of the contract and its withdrawal give rise, as well as for the payment of a cancellation fee in the following terms:
a) Up to 30 days before the trip - the applicable cancellation fee corresponding to the value of the airline tickets + 25% of the remaining services;
b) Up to 15 days before the trip - the applicable cancellation fee corresponding to the value of the airline tickets + 50% for the remaining services;
c) Up to 5 days before the trip - the applicable cancellation fee corresponding to the value of the airline tickets + 80% for the remaining services;
16.3 Where appropriate, the Traveller will be reimbursed for the difference between the amount paid and the amounts referred to above. In this situation, the refund will be made, less the cancellation fee, within a maximum of 14 days of the cancellation of the travel contract.
16.4 The Traveller also has the right to terminate the travel contract before the start of the trip without paying any termination fee, if there are unavoidable and exceptional circumstances at the place of destination or in its immediate vicinity that considerably affect the completion of the trip or the transport of passengers to the destination. Cancellation of the travel contract in this situation only entitles the Traveller to a full refund of the payments made.

17. RESPONSIBILITY
17.1. The AGENCY is responsible for the correct execution of all the travel services included in the travel contract.
17.2. In the case of package travel, travel and tourism agencies are liable to Travellers, even if the services are to be carried out by third parties and without prejudice to the right of recourse under the applicable general terms.
17.3 Organising travel and tourism agencies are jointly and severally liable with retail agencies in the case of package travel.
17.4 In the case of other travel services, the travel and tourism agency is responsible for the correct issue of accommodation and transport tickets and also for the culpable choice of service providers, if they have not been suggested by the Traveller.
17.5 The travel and tourism agency that acts as an intermediary in sales or bookings of single travel services is responsible for errors in issuing the respective tickets, even in cases arising from technical deficiencies in the booking systems that are attributable to them.
17.6 The AGENCY is responsible for any errors due to technical deficiencies in the booking system that are attributable to it and, if it has agreed to book a package or travel services that are part of related travel services, for errors made during the booking process.
17.7 The AGENCY is not responsible for errors in the booking that are attributable to the Traveller or that are caused by unavoidable and exceptional circumstances.

18. ASSISTANCE
18.1 In the event of difficulties on the part of the Traveller, or when for reasons beyond their control they are unable to complete the organised trip, the AGENCY will provide the following assistance:
a) Provision of adequate information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance; and
b) Helping travellers to communicate at a distance and to find alternative travel solutions.
18.2 If the difficulty on which the request for assistance is based was caused by the Traveller deliberately or through negligence, the AGENCY may charge a fee in the amount of the costs it incurred as a result of providing this assistance.
18.3 If, due to unavoidable and exceptional circumstances, the Traveller is unable to return, the organising travel and tourism agency is responsible for ensuring the necessary accommodation costs, if possible of an equivalent category, for a period not exceeding three nights per Traveller. The retail travel and tourism agency is jointly and severally liable for the obligation in question, without prejudice to the right of recourse under the applicable general terms.
18.4 The cost limitation provided for above does not apply to people with reduced mobility or their companions, pregnant women and unaccompanied children, or people requiring specific medical care, provided that the AGENCY has been notified of these specific needs at least 48 hours before the start of the package.

19. INSOLVENCY
In the event of the AGENCY's insolvency, the Traveller may make use of the Travel and Tourism Guarantee Fund, and for this they must contact Turismo de Portugal I. P. the entity responsible for activating it:

20.2 The AGENCY also offers the sale of insurance that can be purchased depending on the trip to guarantee assistance situations and cancellation costs.

21.1 The AGENCY offers the following forms of payment, depending on whether the booking is made through the website or the physical agency:
– Credit card;
– Reference MB;
- ATM;
- Bank transfer;

- Cheque.
 21.2 Payment for air travel on Low Cost airlines is made directly to the airline. AGENCIA only acts as an intermediary in the transaction by forwarding the customer's details to the airline. The only accepted form of payment for these services is credit and debit cards.
21.3. The payment methods are indicated according to the type of service booked and may, in some situations, not allow the use of the payment methods indicated in 21.1.
21.4 Travel documents are issued after payment and verification of proper collection.
21.5. The AGENCY reserves the right to cancel bookings that have not been paid for within the time limits indicated, or in the event of suspected fraud.
21.6. In the event of suspicion of fraud involving the use of credit cards for payment, the AGENCY may request a copy of the card used and a copy of the identification document.
21.7 In the event of fraud, the services will be automatically cancelled, regardless of whether the travel documents have been issued or whether the trip and/or stay has already begun.
21.8. No modifications and/or alterations will be accepted to the receipt invoices issued according to the information entered by the passenger in the "Data for invoicing" field.

23. AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL CONDITIONS

26. SEPARATE PROVISIONS
If any part or provision of these General Conditions is deemed null and void, the remaining provisions shall remain in force and their overall validity shall not be affected, unless it can be concluded that the parties would not have agreed to provide the service or supply the product if they had foreseen the nullity or ineffectiveness of the provision in question.

 NOTES:
- These general conditions may be supplemented by any other specific conditions as long as they are duly agreed by the parties.

- Due to the constant changes in fuel prices, there may be a change in the fuel supplement included in the price under the terms of the "price change" clause.
- The categories of hotels and cruises presented in this brochure follow the quality standards of the host country and may be changed to similar ones when, for reasons beyond the control of the AGENCY, it is not possible to maintain or confirm the existing reservation, and the AGENCY is obliged to inform the Traveller as soon as it becomes aware of this.

GENERAL INFORMATION

ARRIVAL OR DEPARTURE TIMES
Departure or arrival times are indicated in the local time of the respective country according to the schedules of the respective airlines at the time of printing this programme and may therefore be subject to change.
On journeys where coach transport is included, the times indicated are approximate.

HOTELS/APARTMENTS
Flats - If accommodation is booked in a flat, it is the Traveller's responsibility to inform them of the number of people who will be occupying the flat. If there are more people than booked, the flats may refuse entry.
Hotels - The prices shown are per person and are based on double occupancy. Not all hotels have a triple room and an extra bed is usually added, which may not be of the same quality. In rooms equipped with two beds or a double bed, the triple may only consist of those beds. The list of hotels and flats in the programmes is indicative, as is their category, which is based on local criteria and classifications, which sometimes differ from those used in Portugal.

MEALS
Unless otherwise stated, the prices shown for half-board and full-board supplements do not include drinks.
Any specific request from the Traveller regarding meals is always subject to confirmation by the caterer and may entail the payment of a supplement.
If you arrive at the hotel after 7pm, the first meal served will be breakfast the following day, and on the last day, unless you have a late check-out, the last meal served at the hotel will be breakfast.

ENTRY AND EXIT TIMES
Entry and exit times on the first and last day will be defined according to the first and last service.
As a rule, rooms can be used from 14:00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure.
Flats are usually checked in by 5pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CHILDREN
Given the diversity of conditions applied to children (destination and supplier) it is always recommended to ask about any special conditions that may apply to the trip in question.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Airline tickets do not include any kind of travel insurance. If you wish to purchase travel insurance, you can do so at the ZENITRAVEL - JL Gonçalves, LDA. travel and tourism agency.

MINORS TRAVELLING
The exit from the country of national minors, as well as the entry and exit of legally resident foreign minors, is regulated by Decree-Law 138/2006 of 26 July (article 23 of the Passport Law) and Law 23/2007 of 4 July (article 31 of the Aliens Law), as amended by Law 29/2012 of 9 August.
According to the legislation in force in Portugal, Portuguese minors and foreign minors who are legal residents in Portugal and wish to leave the country and travel unaccompanied by both parents must show a legally certified exit permit issued by the person with parental responsibility.
As an exit authorisation is required, it should be noted that border control rules apply to journeys between states party to the Schengen Agreement. The exit authorisation must be in writing, dated and bear the signature of the person with legally certified parental responsibility, as well as conferring the power to be accompanied by a duly identified third party.

BOOKING AND ISSUING AIRLINE TICKETS
Airport taxes may change without prior notice from the airlines until the tickets are issued. We would also like to inform you that once tickets have been issued, and in the event of changes or cancellations, they will be subject to the penalties inherent in airline and/or IATA tariffs.
Ask your travel agent for the conditions of your ticket.
Before requesting the issue of airline tickets, you should check the proposal submitted for the names of the airports and cities of origin/destination, the flight times and the names of the passengers. It is the sole responsibility of the Travellers to correctly enter their names, which - obligatorily - must correspond to their identification documents and their first and last names. Errors in Travellers' names may result in the airline denying boarding and/or police authorities controlling exits and entries at airports, ports or land borders preventing the Travellers in question from starting or continuing their journey.
ZENITRAVEL - JL Gonçalves, Lda. will not assume any error or alteration after the airline tickets have been delivered to the Traveller.

TRANSPORTING LIQUIDS
Since 6 November 2006, new rules have come into force regarding what can be carried in hand luggage. Liquids, gels and aerosols are only allowed in hand luggage in small quantities (a maximum of 100ml per item) and as long as they are packaged correctly.
These rules apply to all passengers departing or transiting by aeroplane at EU airports. These new rules cover liquids such as water and other drinks, gels, pastes, lotions and the contents of aerosol cans. Personal hygiene products such as toothpaste, shaving cream, hair gel, liquid lipstick and creams are also covered by these rules.
These are the rules regarding liquids in your hand luggage:
1. Only liquids and gels in containers no larger than 10ml may be carried on board the aircraft.
2. These containers must be transported in transparent plastic bags.
3. There is a limit of one transparent plastic bag per person.
4. The volume of the transparent plastic bag must not exceed 1 litre.
5. Transparent plastic bags must be resealable.
There are two exceptions to the above rules:
a) Baby food needed during the flight;
b) Medicines needed during the flight.
Purchases made at the airport and on board the aircraft:
You can continue shopping, including duty-free shopping, after ticket and/or passport control and on board European airline flights. Liquids and gels that you buy after ticket or passport control or on board will be packaged and sealed as required by the shop or cabin staff. This seal is valid for one day. If you have to change aeroplanes, you cannot break the seal until you reach your final destination.
Keep liquids separate.

Keep liquids separate. When you go through the hand luggage security check, you have to put the liquids separately in the basket so that they can be examined by the X-ray. The liquid containers must fit snugly into the transparent plastic bag and the bag must be closed.
Coats and large electrical/electronic devices, such as laptops, must be handed in separately to be checked.

PUBLIC HEALTH
If you are travelling to countries with endemic or public health problems, such as epidemics of dengue fever or bird flu, among others, the travel and tourism agency ZENITRAVEL - JL Gonçalves, Lda. advises that you implement the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health:
 http://www.dgs.pt/.
Find out in advance about any special health precautions, such as vaccinations or other special precautions.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
Climate change has made the occurrence of natural phenomena even more unpredictable. In this sense, the travel and tourism agency ZENITRAVEL - JL Gonçalves, Lda. cannot be held responsible for their occurrence. If you are travelling to a destination where major meteorological phenomena are occurring, please inform yourself in advance of the precautions to be taken.

IN THE DESTINATION
In order to prevent documents from being lost, it is advisable to deposit the originals and travel tickets in the hotel safe. In most countries, a photocopy of the documents, authenticated by the hotel's oil seal, is sufficient.
Don't carry bags or parcels that don't belong to you, and always keep an eye on your luggage.
Refuse and avoid any kind of contact, handling or consumption of drugs. Depending on the law of each country, you could face heavy fines, long prison sentences in difficult conditions, or even the death penalty
In Muslim and Eastern countries, travellers will encounter very different cultures from those in the West, and must observe local regulations regarding dress and behaviour. The consumption of drugs and alcohol is generally punishable by heavy prison sentences.
If necessary, the Consular Sections of Portuguese Embassies and Consulates can provide support to travellers. This support takes the form of:
- Issuing a provisional travel document in the event of lost documentation;
- Facilitating contact with hospital units in the event of an accident or illness and with lawyers in the event of arrest.
Consular protection cannot, however, release you from prison, pay your hotel, doctor, lawyer, travel or other bills.
In non-EU countries where there is no Portuguese consular representation, you can ask for help from the embassies and consulates of other EU member states.
